Biography
Daniel Campos de Carvalho holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Law with a concentration in International Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a Bachelor’s degree from the same institution. Currently serving as Associate Professor C, IV at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), he co-leads the research group on Global Governance, Human Rights, and Democracy at Unesp/Franca. Additionally, Daniel is a member of the research group on Brazilian international insertion: global and regional projection at UFABC/Unifesp.
Daniel has been a Sylff Mobility Program Fellow at the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Études Internationales de Genève in 2005. In the same year, he was recognized as a Fellow of The Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund. Further, he contributed to research as a GV-Law researcher at Fundação Getúlio Vargas-SP from 2006 to 2007.
In the realm of administration, Daniel played pivotal roles in the Planning Department (2015-2017) and the Postgraduate and Research Department (2017-2019) at Unifesp. Notably, he served as the coordinator of the Law Course at Unifesp during its establishment from 2017 to 2019 and currently holds the position of Deputy Planning Provost at Unifesp.
Beyond his administrative responsibilities, he is Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Law (PPGDIREITO) at Unesp/Franca and the Postgraduate Program in International Relations (PPG-PRI) at UFABC. His research endeavors delve into the fields of Public International Law, Human Rights, European Union Law, and International Legal Theory.
Professor Daniel Campos de Carvalho was also one of the professors to composse the Teaching Staff at Jean Monnet Chair FECAP, coordinating a working group on European policies and the democratic deficit. Currently, Daniel continues as a researcher and regular contributor to the FECAP’s Brazil-European Union Institute.
