Open Course for Business Enterprises “Human Rights and the Environment”
The FECAP Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on Business and Human Rights, in partnership with Instituto Ethos, invites you to participate in the workshop “Human Rights and the Environment”!
The workshop will be taught by faculty and specialists in Business and Human Rights and will include both asynchronous and synchronous activities, totaling 15 hours of coursework.
– Asynchronous Class Module (virtual platform): the week prior to the in-person session
– Synchronous In-Person Session (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.): April 8, 2026, at FECAP’s Campus Liberdade
The workshop analyzes the relationship between corporate sustainability, human rights and environmental governance, exploring how international and national regulatory dynamics influence business strategies and socio-environmental impact management, covering: “Corporate Sustainability and International Regulatory Dynamics”; “Human Rights, Environment and Regulation in Brazil”; and, in the in-person session, case discussions on international regulatory instability, environmental licensing, forced labor, and carbon credits.
Lectures will be given by: Prof. Cláudia Marconi and Prof. Rafael Miranda (CoE co-directors), Prof. Bruno Capuzzi (FECAP), and Marília Lofrano.
